Hello. This is the last other lil thing I did for myself. I'm relatively calmed now. Still pissed. Last night my monitor died on top of everything else. So y'know.

❤  Xia can keep a cool head in any circumstance, and exudes the aura of a natural born leader. Although she prefers working on her own, seeing it as more efficient, she will accept help when offered. She says what she means without sugarcoating anything. Though she can put things nicely, unlike Beat. When it comes to the people she cares about, she's more than willing to give her everything to ensure their happiness.
     Although Xia is most content meditating on her own, she doesn't mind having company. When someone offers her affection openly, she takes it as an invitation to return that love. When that happens, she can be quite cute. When Xia pledges her loyalty to someone, she refuses to go back on it, as she never goes back on her word. She will see any mission or task given to her through to the satisfaction of the one who provided her with the task itself.
     Xia doesn't like talking about herself, but if she trusts you, she will willingly answer any and all questions you may have. Even when people annoy her, she can be patient with them. She exudes a very motherly attitude and can give wonderful advice to most anyone who needs it. She retains a plethora of wisdom and stories to share.

Do not piss Xia off. She will LITERALLY maul you like a bear. It's rare for her to be pissed, but she's horrifying when she is. (unless your into that then I guess it might be sexy. )

history:

Xia was the daughter of an emperor, named Guo Han Chang . According to legend, member of the clan with Red hair were royalty and were meant to become leaders. Meaning, she would be the next ruler. The only issue was that Xia was female, and in their culture, a woman could not hold power. So it was decided she would be the next lunar sacrifice instead.

Xia's step-mother hated her, since she knew Xia was born out of love. She also saw Xia's existence as a threat to her power as a Queen Regent. Being Queen Regent, she held power while her husband was on the battle field. She was unable to reprimanded for her actions upon his return. So she took those opportunities to beat Xia senseless. She also, was slowly poisoning Xia's sickly mother, Shi An ko

Her son, Tsukiya, got along well with Xia, and wanted her to be happy. However she wanted them to have no communication, and did her best to separate the two when she could.

Due the poisoning of Xia's mother, Xia's younger was disabled at birth. Having a defect in her legs, causing to seriously lack in her ability to walk. So her sister remained in her room most of her life.

Xia was also dotted on by her father's Concubine, Zheng Yawen. ( no she wasn't a hoe that's not all concubines were. in some cultures they simply did royal peoples make up and bring them food dammit. ) The Queen Regent had her executed on a false accusation, and had Yawen beheaded.

"Lady Xiao-Lin is my true Queen. I have no regrets in refusing to bow to you."

Yawen hated the queen regent. When Yawen saw Xia in the crowd, she  allowed their eyes to connect.  When asked if she had any last words, She kept her gaze aimed at Xia.

"Long Live The Queen"

Xia saw her beheaded at the age of 7.

Mordecai, being known to her as 'uncle', since he was a close friend of her father taught her to channel her rage, and sorrow. But also to keep it contained.

"If that's what you want. Break it. But break it at the right time. Do it so that when that ice shatters beneath you, you'll take her with you."
was the advice he offered. He then taught her to fight properly, unlike how she'd been doing so before.

When Xia was 10, her brother disappeared, leaving her a letter. Explaining that Xia would be safe if he were gone, so he decided to leave. He gave her a chance to catch him before his train, but she never made it in time. Heading back home, she went to visit her mother, only to overhear a heart wrenching conversation.

The Queen Regent admitted to her victim, that she was killing her. However Xia's mother was indifferent.

"I knew. I had hoped you'd stop, in remembrance of our friendship, but I suppose I was wrong. Silly of me wasn't it?"

"If you knew, why'd you take the medicine everyday?"

"You may hate me, but I do not hate you. I cannot bring myself to. No matter what happens between us. You always were, and will always remain my best friend Shui. It pains me to know I cannot make this anymore clear."

"......." Shui began to weep.
"Why won't you just let me hate you!? LET ME HATE YOU."

"That isn't up to me, Shui. That's for your heart to decide."

"I can't go back! You have to let me hate you, I can't feel remorse. Not this late in the game." Shui grieved, no longer wishing the woman to die.

"You don't have to apologize Shui, you've nothing to feel sorry for. Your envy was natural, though extreme, it was natural. So don't feel regret. Don't apologize. I have long since forgiven you."

".....Why did it end this way?"

"....Shui. Can you do me a favor?"

".........What?"

"....Take care of my daughters. Don't harm Zuri, but above all, be kind to my Xia."

"........Rest, An Ko. You have a long journey ahead of you."

Xia wept as she watched her mother die from behind the door. She decided that her brother was right. She needed to rise, to reach the top.

"Lady Xia....We sh-" Inu began, trying to coax her out of the hallway.

"If It's a prince they want, they will get one." Xia decided.

"....Sorry?"

Taking a string Xia tied up her hair. "I'll become what they need. I won't disappear at the day my ceremony like my brother did."

Mordecai chuckled. "That's my girl."

Xia's father engraved the royal marking onto her back. The Lunar Sacrifice would be postponed until the war's end. When the war ended, Xia said she would die for the moon then.

Xia grew up and took a new name, pretending to be prince Xiao-Jin. As long as she remained by this alias, the Queen Regent had no real power over her.

Xia went to wars, battled with her men and eventually took her beloved father's place. Her father knowing the truth of it all.

Xia's sister Zuri gave her a parting gift, which she accepted. Unaware of the spell her sister had Mordecai place on it. It was a small glass jar on a string that filled with 'stardust'. It shimmered with a comforting glow.

During battle, she met the man she's secretly wed and was secretly meeting on the rooftop temple each night. A foreigner. Believing him to be in danger, she told him she'd lead him to safety. Turning, she left her back unprotected.

He stabbed her in the back, through her heart. both metaphorically and literally.

She died quite swiftly. Opening her eyes she saw Mordecai, looking down at her.
"Your only mistake, was giving him your love. That one mistake, has killed you."

She refused to believe it.

Suddenly, the little glass charm shattered.

"Your sister sacrificed herself in you place, don't fret."

'...No...."

A light surrounded her. Seeing this, Inu, her wolf companion jumped in at an attempt to save her, but just got caught in it with her.

Mordecai then sealed her and Inu away in crystalized lacrima for 5000 years. Where she would be awakened as an immortal being in a cave. She was found and awakened by Mordecai's son Cole along with his first apprentice Ayumi.

(there's a whole story about her revenge but that would take too long to type. Same with her cute love story)
